2017 in Review – Maccacio’s Success in showbiz

Indeed, 2017 was another phase of music in the Northern part of Ghana. It saw lots of underground artistes enter into the industry and massive competition among already existing artistes. Despite the competition, the Northern rap king – Maccacio had soared beyond borders and reached out to even broader fun zones and recognition in the industry.








As many popped up in the industry, so did Maccacio thrust to greater heights. The rapper over the period of 2017 has been able to feature and release many music tracks including;

Inside – Maccacio Ft Zeal (VVIP),

 No Puncture – Maccacio Ft Kawastone,

 Work Hard – Maccacio Ft Fresh Prince (4X4), among many others.

The rapper as part of helping underground artistes, got featured in their songs in order to make them popular in the industry. The most trended ‘Bohasi’ song and the recently released ‘WO’ freestyle cover of Olamide’s song has given him even more love from music lovers.



The year had prophesied Maccacio’s success when Maccacio started the whole year with a massive turnout concert at the Tamale sports stadium now, Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium. The show saw the stadium filled to capacity at the concert.

The rapper haven’t made history in Tamale, proceeded to the Accra sports stadium where a similar show was awesomely held. Not forgetting his ‘Ninsala’ album launch also at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium. Maccacio was also headlined for the 2017 Damba fest concert which saw so much patronage.



Surely, the hard labour of the king of rap clearly manifested when he achieved several awards and recognitions including;

1. Artiste of the year for the three Northern regions – Northern Entertainment Awards

 2. Northern Region Artiste of the year – Northern Entertainment Awards

 3. Best rapper of the year – Northern Entertainment Awards

 4. Best collaboration (Ko nin neey) – Northern Entertainment Awards

 5. Favourite Social Media Personality of the Year – People’s Celebrity Awards etc. The rapper has undoubtedly reaped every fruit in the industry in the just ended year.



Maccacio and the whole 69 team are still aiming for greatness in this 2018 beyond local recognition. To Maccacio, his funs and the whole 69 team support always keeps him going. He’s therefore promising them more years of quality music.
