Mozambique decriminalised homosexuality this week, joining countries like South Africa, Ivory Coast and a few others in Africa who have done so. Can we expect more African countries to follow?'' Ama K Abebrese Posted on facebook Yesterday at 12:56am · The world is ever changing. Interesting article on America's openly homosexual Imam. so the queston is -DOES Ama K Abebrese SUPPORT Homosexuality.? PLEASE NOTE 1-   Lesbianism and homosexuality in Islam: To any person with the least atom of a brain, the following Noble Verses clearly refute his lie regarding Islam allegedly allowing lesbianism or homosexuality in general: " If any of your wo

Homosexuality is forbidden in the Noble Quran.

1-    Homosexuality is forbidden in the Noble Quran: Let us read the following Noble Verses from the Noble Quran: Noble Verses 26:165-166, 27:55, 29:28-29 were sent to me by brother  Bassam Zawadi , may Allah Almighty always be pleased with him: "Would ye really  approach men in your lusts rather than women?  Nay, ye are a people (grossly) ignorant!   (The Noble Quran, 27:55) " "And (remember) Lut: behold, he said to his people:  " Ye do commit lewdness, such as no people in Creation (ever) committed before you. "Do ye indeed approach men, and cut off the highway? - and practise wickedness (even) in your councils?" But his people gave no answer but this: they said: "Bring us the Wrath of God if thou tellest the truth."   (The Noble Quran, 29:28-29) " Also, Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said: 'Abd al-Rahman, the son of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, reported from his father: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him

Dear Ayatollah

US  President Barack Obama is unlikely to be pleased at the news of the sale of a piece of personal correspondence he wrote to his brother some 20 years ago. The handwritten letter was, according to The Telegraph, sold by Malik Obama to a private collector for an undisclosed amount, along with the manuscript of a book by the young Obama. The letter offers a poignant look at a young, ambitious law graduate who seemed a bit uncertain of a future in public office while confiding in his brother about his reasons for running for Illinois State Senate. In the letter, Barack also jokingly remarks at how quick his brother was to find himself a wife and asks his brother to tell him more about her. Photo: Moments in Time Barack explains to his brother that his interest in politics is being spurred on by the “serious injustices blacks face” in the US. All in all, the letter shows a genuine warmth between the pair, a warmth which is reported to have cooled of late, with Mali

Production and Consumption of African Literature

Image
With four novels published on the continent, there is no better person to speak to about the production and consumption of African Literature on the continent than Zukiswa Wanner. TIA's Bwesigye bwa Mwesigire was in conversation with her about books, publishing and reading in Africa With four novels, London Cape Town Joburg, Men of the South, Behind Every Successful Man and The Madams, all published on the continent, there is no better person to speak to about the production and consumption of African Literature on the continent than you. Is it a deliberate political choice to have your books published on the continent? Ideally like every writer, I would want to be all over the world. The reality however, if a Western publisher I once spoke to is to be believed, “while I write prose that is fast paced and witty, my work is just not ‘African enough’” to resonate with many non African readers. Having had readers from African countri

Robert Mugabe to ask President Barack Obama's hand in marriage

Image
—  Unimpressed by the United States' Supreme Court's favourable decision towards same sex marriage, Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe expressed his opinion on the matter, saying that he will ask for President Barack Obama's hand in marriage . During his weekly interview on national radio, Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe on Saturday expressed his displeasure at the recent ruling by the United States’ Supreme Court ruling which legalises same sex marriage in the country, according to Newsweek . The spirited 90 year-old leader, one of the world’s most vocal nemeses of gay rights, seemed to suggest that President Barack Obama is gay by allowing this to happen under his watch. “I’ve just concluded – since President Obama endorses the same-sex marriage, advocates homosexual people and enjoys an attractive countenance – thus if it becomes necessary, I shall travel to Washington, DC, get down on my knee and ask his hand.” His comments came just hours

KANTANKA competes with leading 4x4 manufacturers

Image
Until now anyone thinking of buying a new 4x4 car would be unlikely to go for an African brand - largely because there weren't any. However, this is about to change with the arrival of the Kantanka range, all designed and manufactured in Ghana. But, will it be able to take on world famous brands like Toyota, Land Rover and BMW?
