Youth SpeakUp on Teenage Pregnancy at Hopin Academy

Hopin Academy and its partners; RUMNET, YEFL and Ghana Friends in Denmark, Youth Speak UP project which focuses mainly on youth in some four deprived districts of Tamale, Northern Ghana; Kumbungu, Savelugu, Saboba and Karaga. Youth Speak Up has been holding both offline and online discussions on various topics for the past weeks.  They began with Violence Against Women, the likes of Miss Blessilla , Maccarthy Lomotey, Ruka Yaro, Mrs Hikmat Baba Dua, Carole Donkers, Mr Sofo, Mr Mash, Mr Mustapha, Zakaria Abdul Hakim Cisse, Clement Boateng, representatives of CHRAJ, and partner radio stations of the project and community based journalist and many many others, they gathered to discuss Violence against Women. The newly named  King of Music (YILA NAA), born  Emmanuel Andrews Samini  known by his stage name    SAMINI ,  (formerly as Batman Samini), is a Ghanaian Reggae and Dancehall recording artiste from Wa, Ghana. His much anticipated Tamale Sallah Rocks, lead by his High Grade Family stars Kaakie , Jupiter and Kofi Kinaata etc, scheduled on Sunday, September 11, 2016 was re scheduled to 12 September, but was agained cancelled. At first rumor had it that alleged Gunshots in some parts of Tamale, which wasn't true. As to why the show was again cancelled, Sanatu Zambang is yet to find out, but many have claimed it was due to the rain that happened the night of 12 September 2016. The biggest spiritual journey of Muslims for their annual pilgrimage has been completely transformed into selfies and smartphones. In the last several years, Hajj has also gone high-tech. More than 1400 years ago the ritual journey performed by Prophet Mohammed and which drew believers arriving on foot and on camels for centuries is today broadcast live through cyberspace. More than 1.8 Million Gathered at Mount Arafat (Makkah-HAJJ 2016)

MOUNT ARAFAT: The Haj reached its high point on Sunday when Muslims from across the world converged on a hill in Saudi Arabia, a year after the worst tragedy in the pilgrimage’s history. More than 1.8 million gathered from sunrise at the hill and a vast surrounding plain known as Mount Arafat, about 15 kilometres from Makkah.  They are spending the most important day of the annual Haj in prayer and reading from the holy Quran. Arafat is the site where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) gave his last sermon about 14 centuries ago after leading his followers on the pilgrimage.  “I have the impression of standing exactly in front of God,” said Khadem Ndyaye, 47, of Senegal.  “Muslims came here from everywhere and we are all the same. If all the world was like that, there wouldn’t be any war. The much anticipated Tamale Sallah Rock, lead by Ghana sensational dancehall artiste Samini had Kaakie , Jupiter and Kofi Kinaata etc, scheduled on Sunday, September 11, 2016 had been cancelled. Sighting alleged Gunshots in some parts of Tamale. Unfortunately for the organizer’s, they never bothered to find out the traditional events that takes place before, during and after  every Sallah (Eid Adha) or Festival celebration in the Northern Region Capital. The Show will be happening Tonight, 12 September 2016, in a tweet by the newly named King of Music (YILA NAA)   SAMINI , they are still in Tamale and the show is happening this night.
