YVONNE NELSON WAS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT ABOUT OUR LEADERS

Minutes after President John Dramani Mahama finished delivering his State of the Nation address on Thursday, popular actress Yvonne Nelson took to social media to say Ghanaian leaders have failed the nation.
The beautiful and talented actress posted on twitter, “Our leaders have failed us.”
But there were doubts as to whether she was reacting to the President's speech as she preceded her comment with a tweet saying, “I can never get used to this power problem!

To be honest, what she said is nothing but the truth. Nowadays electricity is like water, it plays a key role in our daily lives. We need electricity to power our electronic devices, which i believe everyone is using in this 21 century. Dumsor is killing the Ghana movie industry slowly, people don't buy films because they have less time to watch because of dumsor. 24 hours light off and 12 hours light on. How can one possible have time to watch a film and the economy is also in crisis. Film makers buy fuel to fill generators to film their movies. They pick cars to locations both during pre-production to post-production. They pay camera men, and the crew and cast. So why can they comment of political issues or blame the Government if things are not going on well. When it comes to serving the public, celebrities have done excellent, they donate food and other stuff to the less privilege, organize blood donations etc.

What have politicians done, they only give out when it comes to election period. In other countries like Nigeria, America and India. The Government invest in the movie industry and creative arts because they know its serious business. It creates more jobs and boast the countries GDP. But what do we see in Ghana. So in ending i would say she has every right to say our leaders have failed us. Because they really have failed us.
