#Dumsormuststop Turn Up Surprises Ghanian Leaders

With thousands gathered at the Tetteh Quarshie Roundabout brandishing their lanterns, candles participants are waiting patiently for organisers to share their dumsor experiences. The lights have illuminated the stretch at the Tetteh Quarshie in a rather unique way.

Procession has now gotten to the Tetteh Quarshie Roundabout which is supposed to be the end point for the vigil. Some protestors have carried fridges all the way from Legon the starting point of the vigil to Tetteh Quarshie. The procession has affected vehicular traffic from the Legon to Accra end of the road

Halidu Haruna, the NDC communicator who referred to Lydia Forson and Yvonne Nelson as prostitutes for organising the vigil has appeared at the vigil grounds. Even though he apologised for his comments it appears the participants of the vigil are still not happy with his comments. Some of them want to manhandle him, Police have intervened and are giving him protection.

The chants are on; the crowd thicks as the clock ticks. The vigil is proceeding slowly to the end point at Tetteh Quarshie where organisers will share their dumsor experiences.

The procession is on with thousands of protestors holding lanterns yet to be lit. They are waiting for the darkness to fall and up will be the lights, not from the ECG but from the candles, lanterns, bobo etc. offins' being carried by some of the protestors. No clear yet what the coffins are for but maybe to reiterate how deadly dumsor has become.

David Oscar cuts short his interview on Joy FM and hastily joins Yvonne Nelson as the procession begins. He had vilified the organisers and desribed them as hypocites as some point. He said the dumsor was only an Accra phenomenon and not a national canker and wondered why the celebrities were making a big deal out of it. But he says all those comments are water under the bridge and as a Ghanaian he is there to support the vigil. He  brings with him a number of candles which he is sharing to participants!!

The procession has started!!!! Azure says an estimated 1,000 people have begun the procession.
about 300 police men and are getting ready to provide protection for the participants of the vigil. And ooo he spots David Oscar, a comedian, one man who criticised the vigil sharing candles to the protestors.

Van Vicker, Yvonne Nelson, Sydney who are part of the organisers are heading towards the starting point of the vigil.

Ghana's stars have deserted the screens; abandoned the studios, forsaken the microphones and are  descending on Accra's streets, Saturday, in a vigil protest against a three-year-old national power crisis better referred to as dumsor

.
. It all started with an innocuous twitter post, #dumsormuststop, from a frustrated soul of a celebrity, tired with the disco-light-fashion with which Ghana's power is being rationed. It has now turned into a star-studded movement with hundreds of admirers ready to embark on a vigil in black, and hold candles, torchlights to light up the dark clouds in Legon to Tetteh Quarshie.
