Boldsteps '' #Foodfortheautistic '' Fundraiser at the Tamale Sports Stadium

SavannahLifestyle, Sanatu Zambang and StarX TV have teamed up with BOLDSTEPS  NEUROLOGICAL FOUNDATION to kick off a fundraiser for autism on 8th April 2017. The fundraiser is set to take place at the Tamale Sports stadium with a variety of Ghanaian's favorite dishes to be served. The hashtag for the event is #foodfortheautistic.







According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), Neurological disorders are diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system. In other words, the brain, spinal cord, cranial nerves, peripheral nerves, nerve roots, autonomic nervous system, neuromuscular junction, and muscles.


"We're trying to raise awareness for Autism, we have prepared Ghana’s 5 star rated dishes for sale for Autism awareness." Rahina, a member of Boldsteps Neurological Foundation said.



These disorders include epilepsy, Autism, Alzheimer disease and other dementias, cerebrovascular diseases including stroke, migraine and other headache disorders, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, neuroinfections, brain tumours, traumatic disorders of the nervous system due to head trauma, and neurological disorders as a result of malnutrition.






On 8th April 2017 at the Tamale sports stadium, local dishes such as Waakye, Jollof and Kenkey will be served alongside local beverages like sobolo, zim kom etc. fun games will also be held on the grounds with a compliment of high life music.

“The funds raised from the event goes to Boldsteps Neurological foundation, the funds will be used to support the surgery of a child with Hydrocephalus," Naana Kareem Nihad Co- founder of Boldsteps Neurological Foundation said.
