We would Praise Messi for Wearing Customized armband But Criticize Gyan - DKB
Ghana's king of comedy, couldn't help but voice out his opinion on the recent controversy regarding Asamaoh Gyan customised armband. It is said that negativity travels faster than the speed of light, but never crosses the finish line. Ghana’s 5-0 win didn't see the usual cheering and praises as expected.
What would have been a joyful and glorious game for Asamoah Gyan ended up in controversies over the issue of a customised armband.
'' The Customised Armband of Asamaoh has nothing to do with the field of play, the passing, ball possessions, kicks, throw in etc. The hand ban has no role in the field of play. Instead we as Ghanaian s should focus on the positive side on the issue thus having set records for the country football history, so how can somebody put all his efforts like this and something trivial like an arm ban is making headlines. '' DKB told Sanatu Zambang.
The issues doesn't seem to end as it has been the topic for discussion every single day hence trending on social media as well. Many Ghanaian football lovers may not agree nor side with DKB point of view, as they see it has a total egoistic move by Gyan, hence adding fuel to a perceived rift between the duo over who leads the team.
DKB has a valid point, it seems most of the time Ghanaian s love to focus more on negative issues rather than the positives which somehow keeps on dragging us backwards all the time. We should have celebrated his achievement by popping champagne bottles, marking and keeping records of his success. '' If Messi had the same kind of arm ban, we would have been singing his praises by now. Lets stop the alienating our own people, lets stop the negativity towards our own people. What Asamoah Gyan has done so far is worth celebrating '' the king of comedy added.
And to finally put things to rest, sources revealed that Puma customised the arm band for Asamoah Gyan in anticipation of his 50th goal (which he scored). That's why when he was subbed, Andre had to wear a generic armband. Gyan opened the scoring for Ghana after heading in at the near post from a cross delivered by Thomas Agyapong, making history and scoring his 50th goal for Ghana in the process
