AM JUST A VILLAGE KID FROM THE NORTH

Image
I am just a village boy from the northern part of Ghana. Born in upper east, spent most of my childhood days in upper west. Lived most of my teen age in northern region tamale. I love to dream, i dream big, bigger than the ocean. But i just don't dream, i believe and hope these dreams come true. I live in my imagination, never afraid to put my dreams into action. One thing i do after dreaming is i work hard. I like to tell stories, i like adventure. Not everyone in my family like my choice of profession, so i have no choice than to prove i have made the right decision. The broadcasting industry is hard to enter but i never quit. I never give up. Am allergic to failure and immune to negative thoughts. I walk from north to south, east to west. I never get tired because i love what am doing. Nothin can hold me back, i have faith in God. People read my post on social media and say wow. They meet me in person and say what! Because am just a 22year old boy. Takin pictures w...

Mr Joe lartey aka ''OVER TO YOU'' is probably one of the most knowledgeable, well exposed and experienced broadcaster in Ghana. He joined the Ghana broadcasting corporation in 1961 as a sports and ceremonial commentator. He quickly became a star and virtually the eyes and ears of every Ghanaian listener. He earned the sobriety '' over to you '' in recognition of the frequency and transitions in his stimulating commentary broadcast during the hectic days of the first republic. When Tv came to Ghana in 1965, Joe lartey effectively presented the popular programme ''SPORTS DIGEST''  till 1938 when he crossed the borders to sojourn in Nigeria as a political refugee. The federal radio corporation of Nigeria readily engaged him to continue his captivating sports and ceremonial commentary for 8 years. He also taught at the program training school in FRCN. WATER IS LIFE

Image
Water is important to the mechanics of the human body. The body cannot work without it, just as a car cannot run without gas and oil. In fact, all the cell and organ functions that make up our entire anatomy and physiology depend on water for their functioning.   I'm dying of thirst!" Well, you just might. It sounds so simple. H20 - two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen. This substance also known as water, is one of the most essential elements to health and is so important that your body actually has a specific drought management system in place to prevent dehydration and ensure your survival. Water might be everywhere, but one must never take it for granted. Water makes up more than two thirds of human body weight, and without water, we would die in a few days. The human brain is made up of 95% water, blood is 82% and lungs 90%. A mere 2% drop in our body's water supply can trigger signs of dehydration: fuzzy short-term memory, trouble wi...

The cultural depiction of cats and their relationship to humans is as old as civilization and stretches back over 9,500 years. Cats have figured in the history of many nations, are the subject of legend and are a favorite subject of artists and writers. Earliest history Cats were originally domesticated because they hunted mice that would eat stored grains, protecting the food stores. It was a beneficial situation for both species: cats got a reliable source of prey, and humans got effortless pest control. This mutually beneficial arrangement began the relationship between cats and humans which continues to this day. While the exact history of human interaction with cats is still somewhat vague, a shallow grave site discovered in 1983 in Cyprus , dating to 7500 BCE, during the Neolithic period, contains the skeleton of a human, buried ceremonially with stone tools, a lump of iron oxide, and a handful of seashells. In its own tiny grave 40 centimeters (18 inches)...

Muslims discovered the Americas more than three centuries before Christopher Columbus.

Image
Muslims discovered the Americas more than three centuries before Christopher Columbus, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said. He made the claim during a conference of Latin American Muslim leaders in Istanbul, pointing to a diary entry in which Columbus mentioned a mosque on a hill in Cuba. Mr Erdogan also said "Muslim sailors arrived in America in 1178". He said he was willing to build a mosque at the site Columbus identified. The Turkish president - whose AK Party is rooted in political Islam - gave no further evidence to back up his theory, instead stating: "Contacts between Latin America and Islam date back to the 12th Century." Controversial article Columbus is widely believed to have discovered the Americas in 1492, while trying to find a new route to India. But in a disputed article published in 1996, historian Youssef Mroueh said Columbus' entry was proof that Muslims had reac...
