Golden Globe 2015 Nominations: The Complete List
Golden Globes Nominations 2016 - Saoirse Ronan, Caitriona Balfe, and Lenny Abrahamson's Room in the running for awards. The nominations for the 2016 Golden Globes are being announced at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and among the nominees is Irish author Emma Donoghue how has been nominated for the screenplay for Room, based on her best-selling novel.
Donoghue is counted in the category among names including Aaron Sorkin (for Steve Jobs) and Quentin Tarantino (for The Hateful Eight) as well as Charles Randolph and Adam McKay (The Big Short), and Tom McCarthy and Josh Singer (Spotlight).
Room, directed by Irish director Lenny Abrahamson and starring Brie Larson, has also been nominated for the coveted Best Motion Picture - drama award alongside Carol, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Revenant and Spotlight.
Bria Larson has also landed a nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a MOtion Picture opposite Irish actress Saoirse Ronan who has been nominated for Brooklyn. They're up against Rooney Mara and Cate Blanchett for Carol.
Steve Jobs star Michael Fassbender is in the running for Best Performance by an actor in a Motion Picture.
Irish actress Caitriona Balfe has also secured a nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series (drama). She is competing with Eva Green, Taraji P Henson and Robin Wright.
