Damba's PRETRE, A Beacon Of Green Hope PRETRE (Promoting Rural Education through Renewable Education) is an NGO organisation in the northern region of Ghana. That is the idea of Damba to help in the campaign against climate change and global worming and it effect, while helping people in rural communities in the field of education, practical education of course and the need to stay green.
What triggered this move , " when I was a solar stand alone system installer and Improved cook stove(ICS) popularly know as "gya pa" producer and seller @ Toyola energy ltd. I witness a lot from this rural dwellers from livelihood to education and their impact on the environment. Upon travelling and living in rural communities in the Three northern regions including parts of the Bron Ahafo region under the GIDAP rural electrification project. I have seen, felt for myself which I asked myself many rhetorically questions. The GIDAP project really widen my thinking ability when it gave me opportunity to meet different rural people different cultures, with one attitude " illiteracy or I call it ignorance. Then I took this as a project; that I will use my little experience in the sector of renewable to tackle the menace of the rural dweller especially the rural child and his right to education , Good health, portal water just to mention a few "
Damba " I know this may not be the project of PCV but am proposing this here, and with the help of Climate Change Activist and Advocate Abdul Raafi Mohammed " @Rafiu_fishbone we can call on interested persons and organisations to join this great project Our vision/mission is very simple short and the best, thus " instilling creative thing & innovation ".
