Ghana Meet Naija "It wasn't about money '' Fancy Gadam Explains to StarXTV

As usual the 2017 edition of the Ghana Meets Nigeria (GMN) concert took place at the Accra International Conference Center with its usual  pre and post event controversies taking over the showbiz industry.
Aside the use of 10year old 2017 TV3 Talented Kids Reality Show winner, Dj Switch came with heavy criticisms, with most critics blaming event organizers, Empire Entertainment for staging a minor on that platform late into the night.

Northern Ghana social media users went on Facebook and Twitter to express their displeasure at Fancy Gadam's inability to perform on that prestigious stage despite earlier advertisement by his management. According to some news websites the 2017 VGMA NEW ACT and  'Concrete' Hitmaker Fancy Gadam was bailed to perform on that prestigious, alongside Shatta Wale, Davido, Falz, Manifest and Tiwa Sawage

Thousands of fans sat close to their television sets waiting to see Fancy Gadam perform at the Ghana meet Naija concert but was highly disappointed when the show ended with no performance from their star boy. Some angry fans accused Empire Entertainment of snubbing and disrespecting the two time Northern Music Awards' Artiste of the Year but Fancy Gadam says that is not the case.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Justicefm.com's Mumuni Yirifa Yunus and  Brago Josephine with Satellite TV Entertainment programme, StarXTV on Monday night at Modern City Hotel in Tamale, Fancy Gadam explained to StarXTV hostess Brago Josephine and Mumuni Yirifa Yunus that his inability to Perform was not because Empire Entertainment looked down upon him but because of an inconclusive agreement between his management and the organizers.

He explained that though they had reached an agreement for him to perform, hence the public announcement, the final agreement could not be reached. The 'Nation Champion' hitmaker didn't disclose exactly what happened, he dispelled rumors that it was due to money issues. Fancy Gadam said

"It wasn't about money, we have a good relationship with Bola Ray [CEO of Empire Entertainment], I can perform for free any day on any of his events" he noted. He added that, at the time of the negotiations, Bola Ray was out of the country, a situation he believes may have led to the inconclusive agreement.

Fancy Gadam apologized to his fan base and promised to pull them a huge surprise. The VGMA winner who was born Ahmed Mujahid Bello announced that he would be organizing his first major show after the VGMAs dubbed "DoubleRave" where he will jointly launch his fifth album "Mujahid" and premiere his match anticipated song "Total Cheat" which features Sarkodie.

Fancy told StarXTV he is promising his fans amazing performances, and surprise artistes such as Article one, Rudeboyranking and maybe Msvee although Msvee management are yet to confirm her participation and there will be an exciting prize to be given to one of his lucky fans at the event which is slated for 1st July,2017.
