After a successful launch in 2014 the Global Female Leaders 2015
hosted over 230 attendees from more than 20 countries for inspiring
and energizing days of networking and summit programme. Taking place
April 20th-22nd at the famous Hotel Adlon Kempinski, the summit covered a
broad range of topics addressing leadership, emerging markets, energy,
healthcare, digital transformation and innovation management. The
programme also gave room for current political topics like “Women and
Jihadism” by FT correspondent Roula Khalaf, or the future economic use
of outer space by Simonetta di Pippo, Director of UN Outer Space Office.
For many of the international female leaders the numerous networking
opportunities like the pre-event cocktail reception in the exclusive yet
relaxed atmosphere of the China Club Berlin, as well as the festive
Gala Diner including a Escada fashion show, the museum tour as well as
the Sight Running marked yet another highlight of this years Global
Female Leaders Summit! We are thankful to all of our speakers,
moderators, partners and attendees who helped make the Global Female
Leader 2015 a tremendous success.

We do what the fans want, if we manage to produce a nationwide hit song, which our fans don't really jam to, we are going to flop in our home region, and at the same time spending money trying to promote it in the southern region. And in the end, you ask yourself, how many shows in the southern region will I be invited to? Even when we manage to lobby to get shows in the south, you still have to take care of your TNT. When we organize shows in the southern region, it is our very own people in Agbogbloshie who will come and fill our shows, and sometimes fans from the Northern region will journey to Accra to attend the show. That's why we keep doing what the fans want because they are our loyal consumers. We aspire for big audience but we need to conquer our home region first. The acronym “WASH” stands for water , sanitation, and hygiene . These basic necessities of life are not available to many people in developing countries all around the world. In fact, 748 million people do not have access to clean, safe drinking water and 2.5 billion people do not have access to adequate sanitation. An estimated 50 percent of undernutrition is due to inadequate water and sanitation. Malnutrition and diarrheal disease are closely linked. When it does not kill, repeated bouts of early childhood diarrhea can negatively affect physical and cognitive development. 4 Reductions in diarrheal disease, which could be achieved by providing improved sanitation and water supply, can prevent long-term morbidity and at least 860,000 child deaths a year caused by undernutrition Diarrhea and pneumonia are the two leading causes of child death in the world today Diarrhea and pneumonia, often caused by lack of WASH, kill millions of child...
