IS THE UNIVERSE REJECTING HOMOSEXUALITY or MANKIND ?

After the Supreme Court ruling many have celebrated and many are disappointed.
Bishop Joseph E. Strickland, who oversees the diocese,  also ordered that no Catholic facility or employee of the church would participate “in any way” in gay “marriages,” and that the church’s pastoral care of homosexual persons “cannot and will not “ lead to condoning homosexual behavior or the “acceptance of the legal recognition of same-sex unions.”

“We know that unjust laws and other measures contrary to the moral order are not binding in conscience, thus we must now exercise our right to conscientious objection against this interpretation of our law which is contrary to the common good and the true understanding of marriage,”
The Supreme Court “has acted in contradiction to their duty to promote the common good, especially what is good for families,” said the bishop.  “I join with the Bishops of the United States in calling this decision a ‘tragic error.’  said Bishop Strickland in his statement

Islam is clear in its prohibition of homosexual acts. Islamic scholars cite these reasons for condemning homosexuality, based on teachings of the Qur'an and Sunnah:
It clashes with the "natural" order in which God created human beings.

Punishment for Homosexual Behavior

Muslims generally believe that homosexuality stems from conditioning or exposure, and that a person who feels homosexual urges should strive to change. It is a challenge and struggle to overcome, just as others face in their lives in different ways. In Islam, there is no legal judgment against people who feel homosexual impulses but do not act upon them.

Homosexuality is not allowed in Islam. There are various verses in Quran where Allah clearly says about Homosexuality.
We also (sent) Lut: he said to his people: "Do ye commit lewdness such as no people in creation (ever) committed before you? "For ye practice your lusts on men in preference to women: ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds." - Holy Quran 7:80-81
"Of all the creatures in the world will ye approach males". "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" - Holy Quran 26:165-166

The end result for not giving up homosexuality was the destruction of entire cities
When Our decree issued We turned (the cities) upside down and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay spread layer on layer Marked as from thy Lord: nor are they ever far from those who do wrong! - Holy Quran 11:82-83
The Quran forbids any sexual relationship other than in a marriage between a man and a woman. Many homosexual men and women claim that they are born with their sexual preferences and that they have no choice. Although this point is very much in dispute in the medical world, it has no support in the Quran. Even then, irrespective of the nature of homosexuality, this matter would not affect the laws spelled out clearly in the Quran .
In many Muslim countries, acting upon homosexual feelings -- the behavior itself -- is condemned and subject to legal punishment. The specific punishment varies among jurists, ranging from jail time or flogging, to the death penalty. In Islam, capital punishment is only reserved for the most grievous crimes which hurt society as a whole. Some jurists view homosexuality in that light, particularly in countries such as Iran, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, and Yemen.
Ohio Municipal Court Judge C. Allen McConnell refused to perform a marriage Monday for 51-year-old Carolyn Wilson and her partner on the grounds of his “personal and Christian beliefs.”

The two women were eventually able to get married by another judge after a short delay but felt that the delay was “embarrassing.”
“If he would have taken the time to talk to us, it would have been a little more palatable,” Wilson told Toledo News Now, noting that the judge would not even speak to them about the issue.

On Wednesday, McConnell released a statement explaining his refusal to perform “non-traditional” marriages.
On Monday, July 6, I declined to marry a non-traditional couple during my duties assignment. The declination was based upon my personal and Christian beliefs established over many years. I apologize to the couple for the delay they experienced and wish them the best. The court has implemented a process whereby same sex marriages will be accommodated. I will continue to perform traditional marriages during my duties assignment. I am also seeking advisory opinion from the Supreme Court of Ohio at this time as to whether or not I can opt out of the rotation,” he continued. “Upon receipt of the advisory opinion from Supreme Court, I will abide by its decision.

During his weekly interview on national radio, Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe on Saturday expressed his displeasure at the recent ruling by the United States’ Supreme Court ruling which legalises same sex marriage in the country, according to Newsweek.

— Unimpressed by the United States' Supreme Court's favourable decision towards same sex marriage, Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe expressed his opinion on the matter, saying that he will ask for President Barack Obama's hand in marriage
The spirited 90 year-old leader, one of the world’s most vocal nemeses of gay rights, seemed to suggest that President Barack Obama is gay by allowing this to happen under his watch.
“I’ve just concluded – since President Obama endorses the same-sex marriage, advocates homosexual people and enjoys an attractive countenance – thus if it becomes necessary, I shall travel to Washington, DC, get down on my knee and ask his hand.”

His comments came just hours after the US Supreme Court legalised gay marriage across all the country’s states, prompting a multitude of same-sex couples to get married. The momentous decision saw the Empire State Building and the White House lit up in the rainbow lights representing the LGBT community.

The General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana (CCG), Rev. Dr Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong, has described same sex marriage as ‘unbiblical’, unChristian and unAfrican.

According to him, the practice should be resisted and condemned by all Christians and well-meaning Ghanaians.

Speaking at a service at the Accra Ridge Church yesterday, Rev. Opuni-Frimpong said even though the practice had found its way into the legal books of some countries, Ghana should not compromise on its cultural and moral values.

He said Ghanaians should resist any temptation and influence from any country or individuals to legalise same sex marriage.

“God’s principle for marriage, which is also in line with African cultural values, is between a man and a woman. This is supposed to be the foundation for every family, as prescribed by God. Therefore, for a man to marry a man and a woman to marry a woman is very ungodly and unnatural,” he said.

He stated that it was the responsibility of fathers and mothers to have children and not people who had entered into same sex marriages and quoted Leviticus 18:22 and Ephesians chapters five and six to buttress his point.
