Countrywise communications Ghana, centered in Tamale, northern region, countrywise Ghana is able to cover all aspects of training and promotional videos, working throughout West Africa; Countrywise Ghana is able to assist clients throughout the west of the continent to help produce top quality videos in many international and local languages.
Countrywise Ghana assists private sector, NGO’s and rural development projects, countrywise is able to start with planning and research so that a structured script is developed. This then ensures that effective video shooting can take place enabling rural people to show their achievements. All material is shot digitally including high definition if require. Editing is done to top quality standards and then different versions can be produced for specific target audience. Final distribution can take place on national or local TV or DVD for use in villages
Production of Documentaries Countrywise over the years has produced a number of video documentaries on base line and evaluations on various projects. These documentary videos were produced to highlight the achievements the implemented projects had on the targetedcommunities. During the productions, we tried to find out from beneficiaries their situations before the implementations of the projects, and their current situation after implementations through audio visual interviews with beneficiaries at the community levels to specify the before and after situations, and also tell their success stories. By so doing, we are able to highlight the achievements of the projects in these target communities. Video reporting Countrywise communication has also done a number of video reports on various events. In this regards, events carried out by organizations were recorded and edited with commentaries into about five minutes video. With this, the organizations are able to report back in five minutes by just showing the videos. Production of Training videos In the area of training videos, a lot has been done. We have produced a number of practical training videos in the area of agric. At this point agricultural messages on new technologies were given to countrywise communication, which we design a concept putting into consideration purpose of the video and target audience, wrote the script based on the information we got from the experts, the filming was done on demonstration fields and farmers owned field. Translation of videos in to different languages Since majority of our farmers cannot read and write, we have translated lots of videos from English language into various local languages to help farmers understand the concepts of these videos. We did these translations with the help of local extension officers, local radio presenters, and Ghana institute of linguistics and bible translation (GILBT). We have been successful in translating a number of agricultural videos into various local languages. Using drama as a tool One other area of success is the use of video drama as a tool for communication. Countrywise communication-GH had a collaborated with WANNEP-Ghana and Savanna Agricultural Research Institute, to produce video dramas to educate rural folks. The videos were on election violence and integrated soil fertility.
Screening videos After production and translations, we go further to show these videos in a number of communities in the various districts, using an innovative tricycle loaded with video screening equipment. The officers who operate the equipment are trained, understand community video screening techniques, and are able to write down comments, concerns or questions that may be raised by community members.
Technical men then make follow ups to address these concerns. We have shown different translated agricultural videos across all the districts in northern region. Countrywise communication has successfully shown videos in 100 communities with a total number of 30,973 community members getting the opportunity to watch these videos. AWARDs
In 2013, Countrywise communication was given two awards by the International Visual Communication Association in London.
