Wiyaala To Drop Two New Music Videos

One might say, I have met, dine and wine with the lioness of Africa, but in reality a cat can only take place of a lion at home, not in the forest. The very first day I set my eyes on her music video, my goodness, I saw nothing but greatness, natural and above all hope in her eyes and faith in her soul. I always lift my hands up and say " Dear God, thank you for making Wiyaala hail from the north region of Ghana, be it upper east or west, she is a northerner "
Wiyaala is currently at her hometown upper west filming two videos. the first is Sun & Moon. She told me she wants to show creative work coming directly from her home region. This video is been filmed by the same director as Leno. Wiyaala said " Sun & Moon is based on village wisdom. It is something totally different from all other videos made in Ghana " the other video is titled Tuma (no food for the lazy man) a light hearted look at work in the Upper West. Born in Wa, Upper West Ghana, Noella Wiyaala was raised in Tumu. Her surname, which she picked for a stage name, means "the doer" in her native Sisaala language. During the first edition of the All Africa Music Awards held on 27 December 2014 in Lagos, Wiyaala won two of the coveted 23.9-carat gold-plated trophies for "The Most Promising Artist in Africa" and "The Revelation of the African Continent". In 2015, she won best video at the All African Music Awards with Stonebwoy taking home best reggae and dancehall artist. She has been commended by Vodafone for her achievements and hailed as a youth icon and an inspiration for young Ghanaians to strive for success.
Wiyaala attracted attention as an entertainer, artist and athlete to advocate for women’s rights in her native Ghana. Her love for her Ghanaian upbringing is reflected in her beautiful and powerful ballads. Her messages of positivity have made her an icon and inspiration for young Ghanaians. Her mission is on of love, peace, and celebration. Wiyaala is known to criticize the male-dominated culture and polygyny of some African countries and to stand up for women's rights and against family violence in her native Ghana. Her song "Tinambayai" in Sisaala language has been regarded as a protest against the exploitation of women in Africa. Wiyaala has expressed sympathy for feminism as a mean to encourage young girls into completing their education. "Make Me Dance" has been included in the top of feminist songs for the 2013 winter by Bitch feminist magazine. Wiyaala is a brand ambassador for PepsiCo in West Africa, alongside Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage, promoting Pepsi throughout Ghana as the brand looks to grab a larger share of the soft drinks market. She is also the Converse All Stars ambassador for Ghana since 2014.
