After a
stunning performance at the Vlisco 170
Anniversary in Togo, the multiple Award winning Afro Pop songstress and lioness
of African will be releasing her much anticipated music video KANDABANYE,
which means ‘’ Had I known ‘’.
The video premieres on GHOne TV today with Berla Mundi on #rythmzlive. Wiyaala KANDABANYE video Noella Wiyaala is a song, about a man
who breaks a woman's heart, as the woman plans on seeking revenge. The video was shot in Dewsbury UK and directed by Charlotte Appleton. Born Noella
Wiyaala, the All Africa Music Award winner sings in English and in Sissala and
Waale.
The Afro-pop singer will headline the Djimba World Music Festival. The concert will be held at Wa Community Centre, and will also feature many surprise acts.
Wiyaala told Refinery29, in an interview on 2nd December 2016, “When I do a song like "Rock My Body", I want people to know that I, as an African woman, can be the one choosing which man will rock my body… in the video, it is me you see going shopping for a man at Aishaman market!”

Wiyaala is known as an advocate for gender equality. In
July, she spoke to the BBC about child marriage and issues within the Ghana
music industry. “I can use my music to throw light on these things. And use
myself as example,” she said.
Currently signed to Djimba World Records, and JTV
Digital, the sensational songstress has over the past months rocked every
single concert she has appeared on.
The Multiple Award winning Afro Pop artiste
left her mark at the Vodafone Legends Night and her performance was tipped as
the best.
‘’Through her music, she seeks to promote choice for
young women and fight back against practices like child marriage and FGM, using
her lyrics to raise awareness of such issues.
Because of this commitment, she
was recently invited to perform in the UK as part of the “Voices of the
Revolution” collective, which saw an organisation called In Place of War gather
together an inspirational lineup of female musicians from around the world to
