GLITZ AND GLAMOUR WAR at Savannah Lifestyle and Fashion Awards

The 2016/17 maiden edition of the Savannah Lifestyle and Fashion Awards came off Friday January 27 at the colorful Hopin Academy space in the Tamale metropolis.









Bakari Winifred, Majeed Machele, Dadzie Aikins, Fadila Alhassan, Abdul Hameed Photography, Abdul Kadir, Ahmed Mukadas Ibn Salis, Felica Mahama, Gombila The poet, and Mohammed May are among personalities who walked home winners on the night.






The night was filled with glamour, the Tamale celebrities of Ghana’s sexiest female stars and personalities had so much to show on the red carpet. Stunning looks from the gents as the men left no fashion stone un turned on the Savannah Lifestyle and Arts Awards night and as usual the likes Irene Konlan, Kuulabio Comfort, Zakaria Abdul Hakim, Haruna Zulka, Kudos Yabdoo, Nana Kyei, Dadzie Aikins and others.



Hosted by Sommed Soundboy of Diamond fm and chaired by Mr. Adnan Abdulai. The glamorous event kick started after an insightful opening address by Mr. Adnan Abdulai, chairman of Savannah Lifestyle and Fashion Awards. Mr Adnan said 





''What a quaint sight this elegant gathering would be, if nobody was wearing as much as a thread! ''

Mr Adnan continued '' Beautiful ladies and gentleman, I bid every one of you here this evening, a hearty welcome to the maiden edition of the Savannah Lifestyle Art and Fashion Awards 2016/2017. I'm indeed humbled tonight to be in the midst of fashion designers, stylists, paparazzi, glitterati, and avid followers of our budding fashion industry in the savannah zone''.


Mr Adnan further noted in his address that  ''It is our fervent belief that this event will not be a one-off, but will be held every year in even bigger and better ways.
We're especially grateful to all who took time off their busy schedules to nominate and to vote the distinguished awardees of tonight's event ''. 




The chairman added, '' We're very grateful for your support. Ladies and gentlemen, kindly permit me to express our appreciation of the constructive criticisms our social media focused award ceremony drew from some captains of the fashion industry in the Savannah Zone''. 




In the chairman's conclusion, he said '' We duly accept your criticisms, as we believe they were made in good faith. We hope our able designers will work hard to produce more elegant and decent clothing to capture the hearts and minds of indigenes of the Savannah Zone. Ladies and gentlemen, I duly declare the maiden edition of the Savannah Lifestyle Art and Fashion Awards 2016/2017 officially opened. You've been a wonderful audience. Thank you!!! ''
