Tawfiq Bidda Review on Peili Movie - A Seasonal Movie In Dagbani

Obl Leonard A. Kubaloe has a knack for balancing visual impact with dramatic understatement. Seeing the thriller for the first time on a big screen, I was caught up in the chaos of combat and the feverish pace of the story.

However I haven’t had the chance of watching the movie so I can’t give detail info and critic about the movie but Tawfiq Bidda a highly motivated business young man with key interest in  excellence and positive change in society, has a splendid review of the movie PEILI, a Ghanaian Seasonal Movie In Dagbani.

‘’ Many have heard of the growing film industry in Northern Ghana. What that actually means is amply embodied in the movie PEILI.

PEILI,  is the rare movie that succeeds on almost every quality dimension. The utter awe of the plot, dialogue, costume, characters, scene and sound puts the movie on a different level. The usual “Gbishaa Gbishaa” sounds in fight scenes are replaced by some real “gbui gbui” echoes of crushing muscles. Come see me Acrobatics ! You will marvel at how much the characters especially Montana can convey with nothing but his eyelids, neck muscles, heavy gasp and sighs.

The heightened feelings of excitement and anticipation. In fact, the last time I felt this much suspense in a movie was before I knew a nuclear bomb will never explode in Jack Bauer’s 24hrs movie series.

The plot is simply compelling. Montana is finally resurrected to finish his sworn task of ending the Chinto clan to avenge the death of his 5 brothers. Lead character Katari , the only surviving descendant of a great warrior Chinto embarks on a journey to find the only way to permanently kill Montana and save his people from the “hunhucious” demands of keeping Montana underground and more importantly the fury of Montana.

The twist, who is Katari ? Is he really a descendant of Chinto the sworn enemy of his Father Montana? At least, we now know he is not one of the Dimali Clan. (The clan that raised him).

The last scene ably showed that, Revenge as portrayed in every step of this thriller, is much too addictive to give up until the bitter end. It leaves one just wanting moreeeeeeee

While I find ways to manage my great expectations of the full Seasonal .I rate the pilot episode 9 out of 10.  Good job OBL Studious and film Productions. ‘’ - Tawfiq Bidda Review on Peili Movie
