After the 2016 World economic Forum in China, curator of the Global Shapers Community in Tamale. Mr. Mustapha, who is also a Author, Motivational Speaker, Founder of Public Speaking and Entrepreneurship Institute is also present at this year WEF Africa 2017
Sihle Zikalala‚ MEC for economic development‚ tourism and environmental affairs in Kwazulu-Natal‚ announced on Monday morning that the massive event will be hosted in the city from May 3 to 5.
The forum will see regional and global leaders from business‚ government and civil society discuss solutions to create economic opportunities for the continent
Zikalala said his department had lobbied for WEF Africa to come to Durban “precisely because of its immense potential to enhance the brand equity” both of the city and the province. It is estimated that direct impact of hosting the event will be at least R64-million with a total impact of over R155-million.
Ibrahim Mustapha is among the six Ghanaians to represent Africa in the Solution Summit and World Economic Forum on Africa from 1st to 5th May 2017 in Durban, South Africa.The Solution Summit is hosted by the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, Young Global Leaders and Selected Global Shapers from Africa to showcase and scale models for social impact.
The World Economic Forum on Africa will focus on addressing challenges posed by growing youth unemployment and impact of headwinds for commodity-dependent countries, among others, while understanding how the region can strengthen economic resilience and create jobs. In addition to the Global Shapers,
Young Global Leaders and Social Entrepreneurs, the World Economic Forum on Africa will also have in attendance, 600 Business Leaders and 80 Public Figures including Heads of State and government.
