Hopin Academy '' Youth Speak Up ''

Hopin presents the best educational content online, apps and tools and transforms it into a strong self-directed learning experience via coaching, P2P learning, mentoring, projects and experimental learning in a physical setting. The main goal of the Youth Speak Up is to develop competencies of youth reporters to support active citizenship and engagement of young people in communities. As part of the project . there is a section of it which needs us Hopin Academy( https://www.facebook.com/hopinacademy/?ref=bookmarks ). to develop a platform called Idea Platform. 

The idea platform sets up challenges to users, on how to solve issues identified in the local community. The
users then propose ideas to these challenges. The best suggestions are picked for media attention (radio
programs and for CJ and Stakeholders to pressure decision-makers.

Hopin Academy currently have designed 8 events to take place from now till November this year. two events each month, each event would have a topic to be discussed on.  These discussions will be done on the Project social media platforms which already live.

In World War II, soldiers in North Africa were taken ill in ever increasing numbers. They were suffering from abscesses of the lower part of the leg called “tropical ulcers”. These ulcerations left the soldiers unfit to fight and necessitated lengthy hospital confinement, often requiring their removal to more temperate climates. Every possible form of treatment as well as chemical therapy was exhausted without positive results. It was then suggested that these leg ulcers could possibly be connected with the soldiers’ eating habits, as the natives showed no signs of this disease.
