Stonebwoy Crowned SAPASHINI '' DancehallWarrior '' by Northern Chiefs
2015 Vodafone Music Awards winner and one of Ghana’s biggest
artists, Stonebwoy who was welcomed to Tamale by thousands of emotional fans has
said that his biggest fan base is in the North of Ghana. Stonebwoy was yesterday named #SAPASHINI #DancehallWarrior by GUKPEGU NAA, the BHIM Nation also extended his greetings to NAA DAKPEMA ALHASSAN DAWUNI
According to the BET award winner, the massive support
together with the love residents of the metropolis showed him at the airport is
a prove that “his fan base in the north must be the biggest in the whole
country.
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s BHIM Nation x Gadam Nation
concert at the spacious Tamale sports stadium with co-artist Fancy Gadam from
Tamale, Stonebwoy told KingHassan, host of Radio Justice’s Northern Countdown
Chat Show Saturday afternoon that it has been emotional being in Tamale.
“Anytime I’m in Tamale, it feels like this is my first time,
the love is massive” he said.
Stonebwoy
is a Ghanaian afropop, dancehall and reggae
artiste and is the CEO of Burniton Music Group. He is a BET Award
winner, having won in the Best International Act (Africa) section. He
won the Artist of the Year in the 2015 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Stonebwoy says he is ready and willing to do joints with Tamale artistes, he said “There are very talented artistes in the North. Fancy Gadam is one of the big rising acts in Tamale now and there are other good ones too. You know what I’m gonna do? It’s is good to do single, single songs with respective artistes, but this is what I’m gonna do. I have a plan of doing a record feature 2, 3 or more artistes on one record. It’s going to be one solid song with everybody throwing in their best on it, and that’s what I will do”, Stonebwoy explained.
