Stonebwoy stormed Tamale ahead of Fancy Gadam show

Stonebwoy stormed Tamale on Friday 26th August 2016 with thousands of supporters riding and chanting his name and his famous slogan BHIM NATIONAccoding to TheYiripha  Stonebwoy together with Fancy Gadam, Tamale’s biggest act of the moment will be playing at the Tamale Sports Stadium this Saturday, August 27.

Livingstone Etse Satekla is a Ghanaian afropop, dancehall and reggae artiste and is the CEO of Burniton Music Group. He is a BET Award winner, having won in the Best International Act (Africa) section. He won the Artist of the Year in the 2015 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Stonebwoy says he is ready and willing to do joints with Tamale artistes, he said  “There are very talented artistes in the North. Fancy Gadam is one of the big rising acts in Tamale now and there are other good ones too. You know what I’m gonna do? It’s is good to do single, single songs with respective artistes, but this is what I’m gonna do. I have a plan of doing a record feature 2, 3 or more artistes on one record. It’s going to be one solid song with everybody throwing in their best on it, and that’s what I will do”, Stonebwoy explained.

The 2016 Northern Music Awards (NMA) Artiste of the Year, Fancy Gadam has set a new record in Ghana as the first Tamale based artist to hit 50,000 views on Youtube in less than nine months.
His video titled “Concrete” which is purely sang in his native Dagbani language was shot and directed by Eddie Kumako and currently has 50,466 views on Youtube since its release on January 7, 2016.

The song has also enjoyed massive airplay on local and national television and radio stations.
No music video from a Tamale based artist has hit that viewership mark on Youtube.
The only artist from the area to march his success is Accra based Dagbani singer, Sherifatu Gunu who under Akwaaba Music released Yumiataba on Youtube and got over 70,000 views in seven years.
Even though several songs she has featured on have crossed over 100,000 views on Youtube, such successes cannot be said to be her achievements because she doesn’t own the songs.
The Tamale showbiz darling boy has always maintained that he together with his colleague artists in Tamale are ready to take “northern music” to the world and will do everything possible achieve that.

Meanwhile, Stonebwoy is set to release a new single titled “Problem” this September, together with an official video he shot in Australia while on tour.

The “People Dey’ hitmaker wrapped up his “Stonebwoy Live in Australia’ trek in Perth, Australia after making sure the gig was an exciting one for fans and music lovers in Australia
The tour which kicked off on the 5th of August saw him dazzle fans in 3 major cities which included Perth, Melbourne & Sydney.
