Wiyaala Picks Female Artiste of the Year Award, at the Viasat1 Jigwe Awards

Wiyaala, Sarkodie, President Elect Nana Akufo Addo, H.E John Mahama, Ameyaw Debrah, Fancy Gadam, Berla Mundi, DKB, Joselyn Dumas were among the winners at this year's Jigwe Awards.

The award scheme organised by Viasat 1 is a parody event which intends to recognize some key personalities that have not only appeared on the show but individuals, organizations and events that have attracted the most headlines and have been the most talked about for various reasons this year.

The third edition of Jigwe Awards came off this Thursday at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra. Wiyaala has named female artiste of the year, at the just ended 2016 Jigwe Awards, with Sarkodie taking home the male artiste of the year, while Tamale, Fancy Gadam took home discovery of the year.

After a stunning performance at the Vlisco  170 Anniversary in Togo few days ago, the multiple Award winning Afro Pop songstress and lioness of Africa has thrilled audience across the globe this year.

Wiyaala starred angside Michael Grimm Drums, Mathias Grimm Bass, Johny Amoako Keys, Tom Gatzer Guitar, Noella Wiyaala Vocals at the JAZZ N SOUL STEW night at The Mojo Club is a music club in Hamburg, Germany. The songstress aslo performed at the Afrika Festival in Hamburg

Wiyaala before the Vodafone African Legends Night stated meeting and sharing the same stage with South African music star Yvonne Chaka Chaka is a dream come true. The Afro-pop singer performed  Wiisi meaning (Not too Much, Not too little) Live on BBC Radio3 UK. Wiyaala aslo appeared at the launch of the Ghana Music Week in London as well. 

Gearing up to headline the Djimba World Music Festival, the concert will be held at Wa Community Centre, and will also feature many surprise acts.  Wiyaala KANDABANYE which means ‘’ Had I known ‘’, was premiered last week on Ghone TV, is a song, about a man who breaks a woman's heart, as the woman plans on seeking revenge. The video was shot in Dewsbury UK and directed by Charlotte Appleton. Born Noella Wiyaala, the All Africa Music Award winner sings in English and in Sissala and Waale.
