DKB " THE SAVIOUR " OF EVENTS & CEREMONIES

The story of DKB begins in Legon, in 2005, when he tried saving a show from flopping. His addiction to comedy started in the first year when he witnessed a ”joking competition”. The audience was not convinced about the winner, whether he was good enough. DKB then decided to challenge the winner only to come up as better than the winner himself. Even though that didn't earn him the winner's prize, he realized instantly that he had a thing for comedy.
From that initial career propelling performance, DKB has grown gradually into a force in Ghanaian comedy. His exploits at the Citizen Kofi Comedy show got him a well deserved endorsement from Ghana's all time King of Comedy, Kwaku Sintim Misa (KSM), and the former President of Ghana and a former AU Chairman, H.E. John Agyekum Kuffour The television awards which took place at the Accra International Conference Center last Friday turned out to be fulfilling and entertaining with DKB as the host. The award’s night was brought to life when Ghana’s comedy king stepped on the stage as the Host and sparked some excitement into the audience who were slightly grumpy due to late start of the event. Whenever DKB stepped on stage the audience’s faces were lit with smiles. One notable feature about the comedy king that every comedian should learn is the skill to entertain various audiences, on this occasion he reminisced on various past tv shows like inspector bediako, captain - The award’s night was brought to life when Ghana’s comedy king stepped on the stage as the Host and sparked some excitement into the audience who were slightly grumpy due to late start of the event. Whenever DKB stepped on stage the audience’s faces were lit with smiles. One notable feature about the comedy king that every comedian should learn is the skill to entertain various audiences, on this occasion he reminisced on various past tv shows like inspector bediako, captain planet etc which was a perfect move that engaged the audience and viewers incredibly. The comedy king capitalized on his humor to cover up for the few flaws and lapses in the show.Its indeed another save by DKB , there is no doubt he is still Ghana’s favorite. The Television Awards Ghana 2015 which marks the 2nd edition of the awards is organized by ShowTyme production. The event saw performance from No Tribe, Kwabena Kwabena and Gasmilla. kumasi actors Kyeiwaa and Akrobeto also passed through. It was a night of fun, entertainment Currently the reigning king of GHComedy, DKB has received two awards for his outstanding performances last year as the 2014 Viasat1 Jigwe Awards Comedian and E-Talk Showbiz Honours, Comedian of 2014. The maiden edition of the Golden Movie Awards Africa organized by NMJ Ghana turned out to be a great success with DKB saving the day. The awards nite took a different turn and became more entertaining and fun when Ghana’s comedy king DKB took over the mc platform from KSM who has retired to become the emperor of comedy. DKB received lots of applause to every joke he presented, he indeed saved the day by giving it a ligther note. He caught the eyes of Nigeria’s biggest comedy merchant AY organizer of AY LIVE, who came backstage to acknowledge his good works. DKB has again won the hearts of Ghanaians as he gave an extraordinary and rib cracking performance as the host of the “2015 night of a 1020 laughs and music” which took place over the weekend at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC). Ghanaians who attended the event took to social media to shower praises on DKB for re-affirming his position as Ghana’s comedy king. The Grandpapa of GhComedy, KSM has officially crowned DKB as the new King of Comedy handing over the mantle to him with a crystal globe on The KSM Show. “You are indeed doing a great job considering how difficult the journey has been, nonetheless you kept on focusing on your goals,” KSM said. The King of Prime Time further said, “no matter how old I would be, one day I will open for your self-owned show, when you start someday.”
