TAMALE POLICE OFFICER CAMPAIGNS FOR PEACE

A peace campaigner, Gladstone Ameleke has composed a peace song to remind Ghanaian's of their roles as the nation inches towards elections. Born, Gladstone Ameleke, hails from the Volta Region of Ghana specifically Klikor in the Ketu South district. He had his Secondary Education at Akatsi Senior High School after which he proceeded to study Nursing at Korle-Bu Nurses’ Training College in 2010. He then enrolled into the Ghana Police Service in 2012.

He is currently stationed at Tamale Police Clinic in the Northern Region of Ghana.
As a proud citizen of Ghana and also a Peace loving officer, Gladstone as he is affectionately called has decided to campaign for PEACE before, during and after the elections.
In respect of this, he has composed a song to help spread the message and importance of peace in our nation and among its citizens.

Gladstone fused about six (6) indigenous languages into the peace song ( Twi, Ewe, Dagbani, Fafra, Wala and Ga) and these languages are peculiar to the flash points identified for this year’s election.
He is currently working on the video which will feature some prominent religious leaders in the country, Chairpersons of the various registered political parties in the Northern Region as well as Regional Security (REGSEC) Chairman and Northern regional Police Commander.

Enjoy few lyrics from the song:

Election, is not about war
Election, is not about fight
Election, is not about guns
We want peaceful election so our children could have fun

Election, should not divide us
Election, should rather unite us
Election, is about choices
