Derrick Rex Kpogeh Hails Don Sigli as Best in Tamale

Named the mosted talented singer and composer in the Northern Region, the Don of Northern Music, Don Sigli ahead of the premiering of his latest song "Nyini Nbala" had some endorsment from Derrick Rex Kpogeh, author and teacher former script writer and post production supervisor on Viasat 1 Ghana Laugh a Minute comedy show.
 Mr Derrick wrote on facebook ‘’ When it comes down to singing and music composition, DON SIGLI is the best talent in Tamale now. #Fact ‘’




Derrick who isn’t a fan of  the current Tamale music post was a surprised to his friends and a form of endorsement to the fans of Don Sigli and Don Sigli himself I think.

According to the Theyiripha, Don Sigli, had a rear opportunity to perform before the President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama and several other dignitaries at the commissioning of phase one of the Tamale International Airport recently. Don Sigli will be wedding his girlfriend Bawah Hafsat known in the showbiz as Basat this September 2016, named 2016 Northern Music Awards (NMA) Female Vocalist of the Year. The award winning singer who is one of the few female artists in the Northern music industry has seen tremendous improvement launch her foundation, The Basat Foundation.

The exceptional male vocalist and brother of the Legendary Sherrif Ghale hit song Wunpini has been trending on the airwaves of countless Radio Stations, and Television Stations. Tamale based most listened Radio show on Saturday, the Northern Countdown Chat Show on Justice Fm, saw Don Sigli  ranked number 1 on its maiden edition of the show, the award was a citation to honor the songwriter and singer for a marvelously well composed song, Wunpini came 3rd in the August edition of the show and recently among the Top 10 chart on Northern Countdown Chat Show, can it make it to the Top 3 of the chart, come this Saturday on Radio Justice, Sanatu Zambang will decide.

Tamale self-acclaimed king of rap Maccasio features sensational singer, Don Sigli of ‘Wumpini’ fame in his song Koo Nin Neey. This song gets the fans of both artist on their feet anywhere, anytime.  Koo Nin Neey has been among the Top 3 on the most popular chat of the Northern Region CountDown Chart on Tamale based Radio Station, Justice Fm this month. 


Arnold Mashud manager of Basat told TheYirifa ‘’ Basat foundation which is expected to be launched in earnest will work to help the young girls realize their full potential and channel their challenges into opportunities. The foundation will focus on the Northern sector of the country and serve as the mouthpiece in advocating for girl child education. Mr Mashud said the foundation will “campaign against female genital mutilation and marginalization of the girl child in the Northern sector [of Ghana]. He urged the media to support “this good initiative” in other that more and more people will benefit from the project’’ ..
